I'm Omar Crippa. For more than twelve years I've been designing narrative environments in Milan: museum exhibitions, immersive installations, permanent displays for cultural institutions and brands. I've contributed to more than sixty-five projects, with work recognized by international awards, including the Compasso d'Oro and the German Design Award.

Atelier Travertino is what I started alongside that work. A small practice, founded around how I want to approach projects. One person, for now, and a network of people I've met over the years, the best in their craft, who I can bring in when a project calls for it. Multimedia designers, sound designers, lighting specialists, makers. The kind of collaborations that make narrative environments possible.

The idea is simple. The time and the focus each project deserves. A direct relationship with the people I design for. Each project as an occasion for research, not just for execution.

This is the studio I wanted to build. So I built it.
